Examination And Promotion

The school year comprises of two terms: April to September, and October to March. The School holds an examination at the end of each term and a Progress Report is issued. The School also holds four Unit Tests during the year.
Pupils who miss any Unit Tests or terminal examination will not be re-tested There can be no anticipation or postponement of any test.
Promotions are granted on the basis of four Unit Tests, Assignments, Project work and the two lerminal examinations. Therefore, regularity in attendance and work is imperative.
Any student found going against the regulations of conduct of an examination will be expelled from the examination and the answer script will be cancelled Similarly, serious action will be taken if the marks/grades are tampered with.
Result declared at the end of the year is final in all cases and will not be reconsidered.
No student shall take leave one day before unit test, on the day of the unit lest without prior permission of the class teacher. In case of illness he/she must submit a medical certificate the same day but not later than the very next day, In case it is not received the student will not be allowed to take up the test on the day of the test.

Unfair Means:

The child, caught cheating in the examination by the invigilator or showing any evidence of having cheated through his/her answer script shall have to face the strict action. We plan to issue School Leaving Certificate to any child (of whatever group) who is found guilty of resorting to unfair means in examination.
The observation of the invigilator and the subject teacher in any such eventuality shall be taken as final. We are sure that with continued persistence and persuasion every child of the school shall be able to resist the temptation of cheating.
